Only the cookies the service needs.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. EasyTaskr uses only the cookies the service needs to work: to keep you signed in, to keep that sign-in secure and to remember a setting you chose. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell cookie data. Because every cookie we set is needed for the service or remembers a choice you made, we do not show a cookie banner.

These keep the service working and secure. They cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in. • ET_APP_SID, ET_ADMIN_SID or ET_PARTNER_SID: keeps you signed in on the address you signed in to (one name per address, so a sign-in on one never travels to another). Secure, HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it. Lasts 24 hours. • The same name ending in _REFRESH: renews your sign-in without asking for your password again. Sent only to the sign-in renewal address. Lasts 7 days, or until you sign out. • ET_VIEW_SID: used only when an EasyTaskr administrator opens a view of an account to help with support, in that one browser tab. Ends when that viewing session ends. • ET_TRADE: on a supplier’s trade catalogue link, remembers that you confirmed your email so you can see trade prices. Lasts 30 days.

These remember a choice you made. They are set only when you make that choice. • NEXT_LOCALE: the language you picked. Lasts 1 year. • et_rent_currency: the currency you chose to see prices in on a hire business’s booking pages. Lasts 1 year.

Besides cookies, the app keeps some information in your browser’s own storage so it works quickly and keeps going when the internet drops: your signed-in profile, the items in a till sale you have not finished, sales taken while offline (sent when you are back online) and screen settings such as a collapsed menu. This stays on your device, is not used for tracking, and is cleared when you sign out or clear your browser’s site data.

We do not let advertising or analytics companies set cookies through EasyTaskr. If something goes wrong in the app, an error report (what failed, the page and the browser) is sent to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry; it does not set cookies. If you choose to sign in with Google or connect a social media account, that company’s own pages set their own cookies under their policies.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in. Clearing cookies signs you out and forgets the preferences above.
